Thai Pop Star Debuts in Bollywood

Time and again, Bollywood has been giving opportunities to foreign actresses in Hindi movies. Be it the American adult star Sunny Leone, Brazilian model Giselle Monterio or the German beauty Claudia Ciesla, people from the West of late, have shown a keen interest in making it big in the Indian film industry. And now, it seems even Asians want to experience fame in Bollywood!

After opening its arms to beauties in London, Brazil and US, Bollywood opens its arm for a Thai singer. Case in point is pop singer Ann Mitchai, who is a popular face in her home country, Thailand. Mitchai will be making her Bollywood debut in producer Sunny Sharma's 'Ishk Actually'.
   

When asked Sunny Sharma confirmed, "As the film is based in Thailand, I was planning to get a Thai actor for a specific character, which I would like to keep a surprise. One of our common friend suggested her for the role and made me meet her. We wanted a fresh, young face in our film and Ann came across as the best choice.”.
 
Ann is not just playing an important role in the film, she has also sung two songs in the film. The newcomer to tinsel town will surely generate curiosity when audience will see her in the film’s promos, grooving with Rajeev and Rayo on a song ‘Lucky tonight...”.

Apart from the Thai pop star, Ishk Actually also features Rajeev Khandelwal as a wedding planner, former Miss India, debutant Neha Ahuja and Pyaar Ka Punchnama actor Rayo Bhakirta as a rich business tycoon.

Directed by Anish Khanna, as the title suggests, Ishk Actually is a romantic drama that revolves around four characters, two men and two women who fall in love and how things turn for the worse between them. Shot in Mumbai, Panchgani and Thailand, the film is set for an October release.
