The Fine Art Company has collaborated with Tata Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest to present an art and photography exhibition. This exhibition investigates the relationship between literature and art by inviting artists to create art works inspired by Khushwant Singh’s autobiography titled, ‘Truth, Love and a little Malice’.

Artists create art works inspired by Khushwant Singh’s autobiography titled, ‘Truth, Love and a little Malice’
The Fine Art Company has collaborated with Tata Literature Live! The Mumbai LitFest to present an art and photography exhibition. This exhibition investigates the relationship between literature and art by inviting artists to create art works inspired by Khushwant Singh’s autobiography titled, ‘Truth, Love and a little Malice’.
Mr. Singh has been nominated for the Landmark Literature Live! Lifetime Achievement Award. The exhibition will be held at the Piramal Gallery, National Centre for Performing Arts, Mumbai from November 14 to 17, 2013.
On display will be paintings and photographs of illustrious artists like, Amit Ambalal, Anjolie Ela Menon, Arpana Caur, Arunkumar HG, Clare Arni, Desmond Lazaro, G. R. Iranna, Gargi Raina, Gigi Scaria, Indrapramit Roy, Jyoti Bhatt, Karam Puri, Manisha Gera Baswani, Manjunath Kamath, Manu Parekh, Masooma Sayed, Meera Devidayal, Munir Kabani, Raghu Rai, Ram Rahman, Rashid Rana, Riyas Komu, Samar Jodha, Sarnath Banerjee, Shakti Burman, Sumedh Rajandran, T. S. Satyan, Vidya Kamat and Vivan Sundaram.
Art inspires art, often crossing boundary lines in magnificent cross-disciplinary manifestations. Even though writing and painting have been connected throughout history, literature has of late become a diminished subject in the medium of painting and photography, which has looked more to history, society, politics and itself for inspiration.
