Jay And Mahhi are the winners of India’s biggest dance reality show

Tonight, amid nail-biting tension and nerve-racking suspense, the most glamorous and entertaining dance show on Indian television, Nach Baliye Season 5 came to a dramatic finish after 3 months of wholesome entertainment! The finale was a historic one even before the shoot started as the show began to trend worldwide on #1 position on Twitter!

 

 The winning jodi of Nach Baliye-5 was announced by the three judges, Shilpa Shetty, Terrence Lewis and Sajid Khan after the finale week  getting nearly 50 lac votes taking the overall voting numbers to nearly two crores for the season!

 

Nach Baliye 5 has been as much about dance, as it has been about the beautiful chemistry and banter shared by the participating couples. And the winning Jodi of Nach Baliye-5 has mesmerized judges and audience with their moves as well their sizzling chemistry on stage.

“We are very happy and touched that our hard work has finally paid of in the biggest way. We both would like to thank everyone who voted for us and for their love and blessings. Our journey on the show has been amazing and we are taking home a lot of fond memories and friends for a life-time,” said Jay

After weeks of intense performances, elaborate sets, plenty of hard work and training, the show witnessed intense competition amongt the final 4 Jodis -- Jay-Mahhi, Ravi-Sargun, Neelu-Arvind and Jaysheel-Suhasi. These finalists alon with all the eliminated jodis gave a truly memorable performance.

The anticipation and the celebrations were heightened with the cast of Himmatwala – Ajay Devgn and Tamannaah – joining the jodis. Tamannaah surprised the Jodis and enthralled audiences with a quirky dance performance.  This is not all, the lovely lass, Shilpa Shetty gave her first televised performance on stage after her pregnancy! 

Nach Baliye 5 is a unique dance reality show because it not only showcases each couple’s dancing skills, but also the journey and the strength of their bond as partners. And they have all come out strong – owing to intense challenges, working together as a team and learning about each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Each couple on the show has started a new journey with their partner following this competition. Jay has promised to marry Mahhi with a Hindu ceremony on their 25^th wedding anniversary; Ravi and Sargun took the decision to unite in holy matrimony following the show; Neelu and Arvind’s bond grew deeper and stronger, after 25 years, thanks to the immense support they offered each other throughout the show; and Jaysheel realised his love for dancing while letting lose on the stage with his wife, Suhasi.
